Out the Library!
Every child in Kindergarten to Grade 8 will have the
opportunity to check out one or more books from the
school library. Books are due back in the library the
following week (on the child’s library day).
There is a 5 cent fine for each day a book is overdue.
Fines are not charged if the child is absent from
school, but the book should be turned in as soon as the
child returns to school.
Any child with an overdue book or an outstanding fine
will not be allowed to check out any more books until
the overdue book is returned or the fine is paid. Also,
every Friday any child with an overdue book or an
outstanding fine will bring home an overdue/fine notice
indicating how much the fine is as of that day. Five
cents needs to be added to the fine for each day (after
Friday) until the fine is paid (ie: Monday = Friday + 5
cents; Tuesday = Friday + 10 cents; etc.)
If at any time, you feel your child has received one of
these notices in error, please let us know---mistakes
happen. We will try to rectify the problem.
