February 6 – February 10
The kids really enjoyed the Catholic School’s week
activities last week. I think my favorite was Pajama
day!! I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Traci
(Bailee’s mom) and Mrs. Melissa (Lilly’s mom) for
watching the kids while the teachers had a special lunch
on Thursday!
This week, we will be getting together with the 6th
graders to decorate a bag for our Valentines.

MOTHER GOOSE TIME
This week we will be starting our new Mother Goose Time
theme for the month of February: It’s A Small World.
This month, we will be talking about different types of
transportation and things that we might need to take
with us when we go on a trip. We will also be talking
about the letters J, Q and L, the colors red and pink,
and the heart shape. More information on this month’s
theme will be coming home this week.
HOMEWORK PACKETS
Homework packets will be coming home this Monday,
February 6th. Please make sure that your
child returns their homework folder by this Friday,
February 10th.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELMO!
Elmo’s Birthday was February 3, but because of all the
activities that were planned for Catholic School’s week,
we were unable to celebrate. Instead, we will be
celebrating Elmo’s birthday this Wednesday, February 8.
We will be working on some fun Elmo activities as well
as having Elmo show & tell. If your child has any Elmo
objects at home, such as a toy, movie, book, etc… please
have them bring it to school on Wednesday.
SCHOLASTIC BOOK CLUB
I will be sending home both the Firefly and Honeybee
order forms for the month of February this Monday. If
you would like to order anything from the bookclub this
month, please do so by Friday, February 10th.
SNACK
The February snack calendar was sent home last
Friday.
There is no snack person for the week of February 6th.
Curriculum Goals
for the week of February 6:
Reading:
The letter J will be introduced this week. We will also
be reading the story of the month “My Granny Went to
Market”
Math:
We will be counting and sorting heart shapes this week
during math.
Art:
This week, we will be
making a travel bag and a camera
Spanish:
We will continue to work on our Spanish words.
Religion:
We will be talking about Jesus’ friends- the disciples
and how we are all friends of Jesus.
