Josh Besserman got a classmate's mail because she was running behind while packing up.

Zach Renner - Picked up all the jump ropes after morning recess without being told.

 

Olivia Pederson - Picked up trash and milk cartons that belonged to other children after the morning snack.

 

Shannon Maitland opened the door and stepped aside for a substitute teacher to enter the building one morning.

 

Kayla Norton & Allison Bertelsman pushed in all the chairs in the lunchroom that their classmates left out in the middle of the aisles.

 

Cheyenne Decker collected her fellow classmates items and took them to them after the bell rang and they ran out.

 

Sophie Konradt & Bridget Stock cleaned paper and trays in the cafeteria when students left them behind.

 

A kindergarten dropped his belongings in front of the Office, Joe Ferreri got up from his desk and went right out to help him - as others were stepping over and around him.

Celia Toenjes carried an ice pack back to the office so her injured classmate did not have to come downstairs.

Claire Garris saw that two of her classmates left the cafeteria without putting their trays up, so she took hers and theirs and put them in the kitchen area.

Allison Schell unpacked Sophie's school bag, hung up her coat in the morning while Sophie was in the computer lab taking an AR Test.  She was unaware that the teacher was watching her do a good deed.

Jeremy Schmidt helped a classmate by giving him a piece of paper for a test.  Abigail Scrivner gave a pair of gloves to a classmate when they went outside for recess so her hands would be warm.

Zachary Reyes was caught saying "thank you" to the cafeteria workers when getting his tray and being so polite in the classroom.

Mark Schifferdecker had his parents stop their car so he could pick up a ball that was kicked over the fence during the school day on their way home in the evening.

Margo Storment (2nd) has taken care of a new ELC student in the cafeteria every day - even though she misses some recess to do it.

Marlie Howell (2nd) got a coat, book bag and helped put things together for a classmate who had to get things ready for dismissal quickly.  She did so without being asked.  Great Job, Marlie!

Abigail Scrivner (2) helped a classmate understand an assignment.  She took it upon herself to help, guide and make this person feel better and complete the work with success.  Way to go Abigail for your act of kindness.

Mrs. Scannell (2nd) volunteered to take Mrs. Meile's lunch recess duty because she had morning recess duty.

Jared Phillips' name was drawn from a hat to receive a donut, he chose to share it with another classmate so that another person could have a treat too!

Today we have Hannah Wade (6th Grade) - She offered to clean up a spilt plant and dirt even though she was not responsible for the accident.

Sorry we haven't posted lately - we have quite a few people to acknowledge for their kindness:

Mrs. Hobbs - she went down to Ms. Oughton's classroom to get her fire drill book since the ELC was in the Computer lab and not in their room.

Cody Vymola (PreK) decided to share the playground balls during recess when no one else would be so kind.

Chandler Bonta & Sam Eilerman (both 4th grade) collected playground balls before the bell ran for all classes without being asked.

Auggie Prange (ELC) picked up trash without being asked to do so.

Katelyn Womack (1st) went to get a popsicle for a classmate who didn't get one on her tray.

Today we have our first Faculty Member to join the Award Group.  Mr. Marvin Thien volunteered to take another teacher's playground duty so they could finish their lunch without rushing.  Thanks Mr. Thien!!

Today we celebrate Tom Watson (KM) - tom picked up trash in the boys bathroom . . . and it wasn't even his trash.  He wanted to help Mr. Bob.

Also, Carter Bonta (7) Spencer Piquard (7) and Justin Schmidt (7) cleaned the Science Lab without being asked to do so.

Today's Random Act of Kindness Recognition goes to:

Alex Garza in 5th grade went out of his way to see that one of his classmates did not eat lunch by himself.

Today we add to our wall of fame:

Abby Bala (1) for helping a friend in class get out the correct books and torn the page out for him.

 

Jenna Schmidt (1) gave her snack up to another student because that student did not have one.

 

August 25th

We have our second addition to Random Acts of Kindness Awards.  They are:

Daryn Rust (PK) helped a child in ELC clean-up her lunchbox in the cafeteria.

 

Holden Hillesheim (7) & Justin Schmidt (7) - these gentlemen held the doors and helped the Prekindergarten students get into the McCormick Center last Friday for the fundraising rally.

 

August 21st

We are happy to announce our first recipients of awards for their Random Acts of Kindness.  They are as follows:

John Reitano (8) for taking a classmate’s backpack in the room to avoid a hazard in the hall

Sarah Schmittling (3) for volunteering to hold the door for all her classmates going to P.E.

Katelyn Scott (3) for volunteering to hold the door for all her classmates going to P.E.

Conner Fleming (5) for bringing some important papers to the office that were dropped on the parking lot – rather than just leave them to blow away

Donovan Gagen (6) for carrying the backpack of a classmate who was injured without being asked to do so.

Congratulations to all these fine boys and girls for stepping up and being a good neighbor without being asked.
