and last about an hour.

am (grades
Pre-K-4)
Hope to see you there!
After
School Care will be available
for all students ELC through 8th
Grade this fall.
Enrollment forms will be
included in the Parent Packet
this fall.
We are excited to
report that the classrooms are
alive with inquiring minds and
fingers.
Technology funding provided by a
generous grant from the Diocese
of Belleville applied for by
Linda Van Loo and generous
donations by our Parents Club
with help from the Project
Manager, Kim Scott, resulted in
the purchase of the E-Beam
Interactive Whiteboards for the
school. The project was
coordinated by Mrs. Linda Van
Loo of Cathedral Grade School
over the summer and by the first
week of school, the classrooms
will be equipped with E-Beam
Boards, ceiling mounted
projectors, and speakers.
An interactive whiteboard has a
touch-sensitive surface
activated by special pens or the
keyboard. Not only is work
displayed, but the material may
be saved electronically to a
file for retrieval at a later
time. Key benefits of teaching
with the Smart Board include
increased student attention and
participation, differentiation
of teaching methods, integrated
technology in one location, and
it is FUN! Cathedral Grade
School is the only school in the
Belleville area with an
Interactive Whiteboard in every
classroom! Go Crusaders!

To Jeanne Eisele and all the
wonderful ladies at the Ladies
Ancient Order of Hibernians
(Division 1, St. Clair County,
IL) who recently donated $350 to
the Cathedral Grade School 1st
Graders for books and materials.
This Noble Order has been
helping local charities and
schools in the Belleville area
and around the country since
1894. Please join me in
thanking them when you get a
chance. Because of our students,
parents, and faculty, the
surrounding community continues
to intensify its excitement
about the Cathedral Grade School
Crusaders.

GRANTS FOR CATHEDRAL
GRADE SCHOOL
We are in
need of people to do research
for available Grants for
Cathedral Grade School.
We have
several people who are willing
to write the Grants, but they do
not the extra time to research
and find available Grants also.
If you
could spare some time in
researching, please contact
Steve Gould and volunteer.
THE STUDENTS OF CATHEDRAL GRADE
SCHOOL SAY THANKS FOR
VOLUNTEERING AND HELPING MAKE
