Week of August 30-September 3, 2010

5H – There will be a test over “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” on Friday, September 4th. We will have a spelling test Friday, September 4th over the words on page 7 in the spelling workbooks.  The students will take a practice test on Monday, August 30 on the spelling words on page 7.  They will be working on the words and workbook pages throughout the week.  The workbook pages 7-12 are due on Friday, September 3rd. 

6C- We will be taking a practice spelling test over page 7 words on Monday, August 30^th.  The actual spelling test will be Thursday, September 2nd.  The students will need to complete the spelling workbook pages 7-12 by Wednesday, September 1st.  On Friday, September 3rd, we will be testing on “All American Slurp” from our reading book.

7T – On Friday, September 3rd^th, we will be taking test over “Broken Chains and “Barrio Boy” covering vocabulary and comprehension.

8H- We will continue reading short stories in Unit One – No Place Like Home.  The students will be required to create a “Visions of Home” collage that is due on Friday September 3^rd.  This project will be worth 150 points.  They will need to be creative, neat and thorough with the completion of the posters.

6C- English –We are completing our Unit on Subjects, Predicates and Sentence Fragments.  There will be a test on Thursday, September 2^nd.

6c- Computers – Keyboarding

6C- Art- Art class begins with Mrs. Leah Sutherland.
