February 6, 2012

Thank you to the families who brought in a poster board for the Science Fair. I have received all 4 that were needed. J

Also, thank you to everyone who contributed to a great Catholic Schools’ Week last week. We had a great time!

Don’t forget to be tracking your reading minutes nightly on your Blues’ Bookworm sheets.

Please don’t forget about the Fathers’ Day Essay Contest. These are due by February 9th. Any student who participates can earn 15 bonus points towards their English grade in the 3rd quarter! J

We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on February 14th with a small class treat. Students are also invited to bring in Valentine’s to share with the class (as long as all students are included). Please bring in a container to keep your Valentine’s in on this day. And remember, we can be out of uniform in nice jeans and red or pink shirts for the price of 50 cents.

Math: The Chapter 10 test will be Tuesday, February 7th. For the remainder of the week, we will look back at the Time, Temperature, and Data chapter. We will focus on temperature and data. Then next week, we will start dividing with remainders. Please begin reviewing basic DIVISION and SUBTRACTION facts for this next concept.

Religion: Our open-book test on Chapter 12 will be tomorrow. We will review the chapter together today to prepare up for the test. Later this week, we will move into Chapter 15 (The Fourth Commandment).
